- Communicating Science – Research-based educational strategies for science instruction are the focus of this one-week workshop for K-12 teachers
- EmergentLabs – Teachers create inquiry-oriented and data-analysis materials that get their high school students excited about science through hands-on activities
- FCR-STEM – Tasked with improving K-12 STEM teaching in Florida, the Florida Center for Research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics conducts research in Florida schools and provides technical assistance to the state and local school districts
- Florida Explores – Workshops for teachers on how to implement the NOAA weather-satellite program and set up their own ground stations
- Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) – The FSU Meteorology department trains teachers on how to incorporate GLOBE concepts in physical and earth sciences into their curriculum
- Great Explorations in Math and Science (GEMS) – This three-day workshop for elementary- and middle-school teachers employs tested and innovative math and science activities developed at the University of California, Berkeley
- Motion, Forces, and Energy: Physical Science Workshops – Focused on physics content and aligned with the Sunshine State Standards, these two-week summer workshops are designed for teachers of grades 3-5 and 6-12 (participants earn one graduate credit hour)
- PROMiSE Leadership in Mathematics and Science Instruction – Florida school principals and teacher leaders receive guidance and tools for the support of high-quality instruction of mathematics and science
- Research Experiences for Teachers – This 6-week summer residential program gives K-12 teachers from across the country the chance to participate in leading-edge magnetic research
- Teaching Inquiry and the Nature of Science – An intensive, two-week workshop that uses research-based instructional materials to deepen teachers’ knowledge and practice in science instruction and better assist their students in meeting the Nature of Science Standards
