Centers, Programs and Resources for Students and Teachers
Jobs requiring science and engineering skills are growing at a rate nearly four times greater than jobs in the rest of the labor force, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. To meet this demand, Florida State University offers educators and students an extensive array of programs that advance science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
These programs represent collaborative efforts on behalf of multiple departments and colleges at FSU including the:
- College of Arts and Sciences
- Challenger Learning Center
- College of Education
- Center for Integrating Research and Learning
- Learning Systems Institute
- College of Medicine
- National High Magnetic Field Laboratory
- Department of Physics
- Office of Science Teaching Activities
These Florida State University initiatives allow students and teachers to explore and bring to life the exciting world of science, technology, engineering and mathematics through hands-on activities and a range of materials. Funding for these programs comes from grants, foundations, personal donors, corporate support and the university.
Through rigorous development and ongoing refinements, the STEM programs at FSU have come to provide teaching and learning resources and activities that are motivational, educational and meaningful for our future.
